Many are now planning to make content creation a career. A decision of YouTube put a fold of thought on their foreheads. Because, watch hours were increased by 8 thousand hours by the company. How the target will be met was a cause of thought for everyone. But YouTube took a big decision by giving relief to new creators. This time, the company is also changing the view count rules.
What exactly is the matter? In the case of shorts, when a video comes into the feed, it starts playing automatically. It is added as a view. But that's not the rule for big videos. Views don't count until clicked. If someone watches a video for 30 seconds or more, it is reflected in the analytics. This rule is about to change. This time, like shorts, views will be counted in big videos too. That's what YouTube said. You must be wondering when this new rule will be launched? According to the company, all video views will be calculated in the same way from August 24. It is believed that it will be easier to meet the target of the creators.
Starting 8/24, views will count the moment a video begins to play (w/ no minimum watch time) across all formats (VOD, Shorts, & Live). We're standardizing views to reflect creators' true exposure across YouTube, making it easier to show their value to brand partners.

It should be noted that until now YouTube had to meet the target of 4000 hours in a year or 365 days. In the new rules, it has been increased to 8000 hours!
