A20 Pro chip will increase performance
The biggest upgrade of the iPhone 18 Pro may be its processor. It is being claimed in the reports that it can be given a new A20 Pro chip which is expected to be manufactured on 2nm process. This can improve the processing capacity and power efficiency of the phone. Features related to on-device AI and Apple Intelligence are also likely to benefit from this.
The A19 Pro chip is provided in iPhone 17 Pro and Apple had given a lot of emphasis on performance and AI capabilities in it too. Therefore, the A20 Pro chip in the new model is being considered as a major next-generation hardware upgrade.
The biggest change will come in the camera
The camera may be one of the most talked about features of the iPhone 18 Pro. According to the current information, the triple rear camera setup is expected to remain intact in the phone but variable aperture technology can be given in the main camera. This can benefit photo quality in different lighting conditions.
Whereas in iPhone 17 Pro, all three rear cameras are part of the 48MP Fusion camera system and it has optical-quality zoom of up to 8x. In such a situation, along with camera hardware, improvement in processing and image quality can also be seen in iPhone 18 Pro.
