Blake Lively has come forward and urged people to “be kind” after the tragic deaths of her late Gossip Girl costar Michelle Trachtenberg and Hayden Panettiere.
Taking to Instagram on August 17, the 38-year-old actress shared a video montage of the two late stars from their their 2005 comedy Ice Princess.
She used that as an opportunity to remind people that everyone is going through their own struggles behind closed doors.
“Be kind,” she wrote.
“You never know what others are going through,” the It Ends with Us actress emphasized.
“Thank you to both these women for all the joy you brought (to) so many,” she added.
Hayden’s death was reported on August 16. she died at the age of 36 in Greenville, South Carolina.
Authorities responded to a report of an “unresponsive female” at a residence, where the Nashville alum was later found unresponsive following what dispatch audio described as a possible overdose. Her official cause of death remains under investigation.
Michelle Trachtenberg died at age 39 inside her Midtown West apartment in New York City.
She passed away on February 26, 2025.
