Free Petrol Langar: On Tuesday (August 18, 2026) in Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, once again a unique form of the traditional thinking of ‘Langar’ is being seen. Under this, as a community initiative, people are being given free petrol at selected petrol pumps. This initiative called ‘Petrol Langar’ is being organized by Rakesh Trehan of Amritsar. Not only in Chandigarh but in entire Punjab, Rakesh Trehan is also known as ‘Raja the King’.
How to get free petrol
According to the information given in one of his video messages for this campaign, people can take fuel coupons of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 at designated petrol pumps in Chandigarh. This campaign to distribute petrol will be held on August 18 at 5 pm at the petrol pumps of Sector 7 and Sector 10 of Chandigarh.
Under this initiative, eligible people will get coupons of Rs 500 or Rs 1,000, which can be used for petrol at designated places. This unique campaign of charity has caught people’s attention because it takes the concept of langar beyond food and drinks to everyday expenses like petrol.
Who is Rakesh Trehan?
Rakesh Trehan gives credit for his social service activities to his faith and the blessings of ‘Mahamai’. His initiatives have included distributing cash and food among the people.
