Questions raised on recruitment of assistant professors in National Law University

Independent Morning Bureau. Questions have arisen regarding the recruitment of Assistant Professors in Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, which will be started in the year 2023 in Prayagraj. Some members of the executive council of the university had raised objections to the selection process. Despite this, it has come to light that the Vice Chancellor will release the results on the same day and proceed with the appointment process of the selected candidates.

After complaints came to light regarding the recruitment process, the Justice Department of the State Government has summoned all the records related to the selection from the Vice Chancellor on August 2. At present, the records provided by the department and the reply of the Vice Chancellor are being examined. Till now no new instructions have been issued in this matter.

Meanwhile, some people have alleged rigging and favoritism in the recruitment process and have demanded an impartial investigation from the Chief Minister. It has been alleged in the complaint that three former disciples of the Vice Chancellor have also been selected for the post of Assistant Professor. These allegations could not be independently confirmed.
