New Delhi: US President Donald Trump mentioned the question asked by Chief Election Commissioner of India Gyanesh Kumar. According to Trump, Gyanesh Kumar had asked the US administration how elections could be held in America without a valid photo ID? India's largest opposition party has taunted the US President's remarks and said that he should keep Gyanesh Kumar and EVMs with him.

Congress Rajya Sabha MP and head of media-publicity department Pawan Khera reacted to US President Trump's Truth Social post. He wrote in the X-Post, “Dear Donald Trump, please take Gyanesh Kumar Gupta to America and keep him there. We will also send our EVMs on the next available flight. For all the insult and mistreatment you have given us, this is the least we can do for you. With love, from India.”

Earlier, on his social media platform, Trump has hinted at changes in the election system of his country by referring to the questions asked by Chief Election Commissioner of India Gyanesh Kumar. Like India, he has demanded to make photo identity card mandatory for every voter in America also. For this, Trump has also appealed to pass the 'Save America Act' on Tuesday.

Trump wrote on the Truth social platform – 'Earlier this month, India's Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar had asked our administration how elections can be held in America without a valid photo ID?' He further said- 'We now have to pass the Save America Act. Trump insisted on making the US election process more stringent. They say that this will increase the security and credibility of American elections.

Let us tell you that 'Save America Act' is a bill proposal to further tighten the rules related to voter registration and voting. Under which it will be necessary to show documentary proof of citizenship at the time of voter registration and photo ID at the time of voting. Apart from this, the bill also talks about significantly limiting the process of voting by post.
