New airports will be built in these districts of Bihar, great news for the people!

Patna: The government has intensified preparations towards making air travel easier in Bihar. Work is being started on the possibilities of developing new airports, helipads and air facilities in the state. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, in the review meeting regarding the revised flight scheme RCS 6.0, instructed the officials to move rapidly in this direction.

Air facility will increase in these districts

The government has asked to take forward the process of development of air facilities in Sabeya of Gopalganj, Forbesganj of Araria, Kishanganj, Saran and Ulav of Begusarai. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to explore the possibilities of helipads or other air facilities in Aurangabad, Banka, Khagaria, Nawada, Sheikhpura and Sitamarhi.

Focus will also be on tourist places

The government's plan is not limited to just the new airport. Consideration is also being given to developing helipads in Rajgir, Gaya, Sasaram, Kaimur and Shahabad areas. It has been said to give priority to such places where many nearby districts can benefit from the introduction of air facilities.

Assessment of ground and number of passengers

For the new airport or helipad, first of all the availability of land, suitability of the place, number of potential passengers and technical requirements will be studied. After this, the further process will be taken forward by coordinating with the concerned departments and agencies of the Central Government.
