Twisha Sharma Case: CBI has filed charge sheet in Twisha Sharma case. Investigation has revealed allegations against Twisha's husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh of mentally torturing her and abusing her. According to the charge sheet, after marriage, Twisha had told her husband about her past relationships, after which Samarth's behavior changed and he started insulting her.

According to CBI, in March 2026, Twisha's father suffered a heart attack amid continuous stress. After this, she went to her maternal home in Noida for some time and returned to Bhopal on 24 March.
Controversy increased regarding pregnancy
Investigation revealed that there was confusion between the husband and wife regarding Twisha's pregnancy. Information about pregnancy was received on April 16 and it was confirmed in the hospital the next day. Twisha wanted time to decide about the child. There was a dispute between the husband and wife on this issue on April 17. According to the charge sheet, during this time Twisha was thrown out of the house.
On April 19, she reached her parents in Nasirabad, Rajasthan. She told her parents that her mother-in-law used to constantly ask about her periods. Tisha accused her husband of being addicted to drugs and also expressed fear that it could harm the child.

Pressure regarding money for shares also
The charge sheet also mentions shares worth about Rs 20 lakh which are in the names of Twisha and Samarth. According to CBI, after the family came to know about this, pressure was put on Twisha to transfer the money. In April, he was also taken to Bagmugalia branch of Bhopal but he refused to pay the money. Twisha said that the money belonged to her father. Investigation has revealed that even after leaving the job, Samarth started making fun of him. After this, Twisha had told her friends to go to Noida and look for a job.
Decision regarding child taken in hospital
On April 30, Twisha and Samarth reached Bansal Hospital in Bhopal. According to CBI, the further procedure regarding the child was discussed there and the doctor advised them to think for some time. On May 6, both of them again reached the hospital, where Samarth said not to keep the child. On the same day, Twisha got a job offer, which she accepted. That same night, Twisha messaged her mother and asked her to take her with her. According to the charge sheet, she told that Samarth was telling her that he has been tolerating her for a long time and cannot bear it anymore. After this she talked about getting an abortion in the hospital. According to the charge sheet, this process was completed by May 8.
The last major incident took place on May 12
According to the CBI charge sheet, there was another dispute between Twisha and Samarth on May 12. After this Twisha called her mother crying. The mother called Giribala Singh and informed him about Twisha's crying. After this Giribala called Twisha, but the call was not received. CCTV footage is also mentioned in the charge sheet. In this, it is said that Samarth was seen bringing the dead body down through the stairs. Later Twisha was taken to AIIMS. The postmortem report has declared the death a suicide. After investigating the case, CBI has included facts related to torture and other allegations in the charge sheet.
