BJP: In view of the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat next year, BJP on Tuesday appointed new state election in-charges. Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Naveen has appointed new state in-charges and co-in-charges for Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat. The party has handed over the responsibility of these states to senior leaders. In Uttar Pradesh, Vinod Tawde has been appointed state in-charge, while Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel has been given the responsibility of co-in-charge.

While in Punjab, Satish Poonia has been appointed as the state in-charge, the responsibility of Gujarat has been handed over to Tarun Chugh as the state in-charge.

Earlier, BJP President Nitin Naveen had announced his new team. Some old faces have returned and many changes have been made in different wings of the party. These appointments have come at a time when BJP is preparing for elections in many states and wants to strengthen its organization in different states and social groups.
