Yamaha RayZR And Fascino 125 Launched With TFT Navigation

Yamaha has refreshed its 125cc scooter range again, and this time the big change is on the dashboard rather than under the seat. The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid range now starts at Rs 79,880, while the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid starts at Rs 78,980, both ex-showroom Delhi. At the other end, the RayZR Street Rally TFT costs Rs 1,00,440 and the Fascino S is priced at Rs 99,030.

That means Yamaha now has two 125cc scooters sitting right around the Rs 1 lakh mark. The question is what that extra money actually buys.

The RayZR Street Rally is now available with a colour TFT instrument cluster and turn-by-turn navigation. The Fascino also gets a colour TFT on the higher variant, along with turn-by-turn navigation and Yamaha’s Answer Back function. Yamaha has also added fresh colours and graphics across the two ranges.

This is important because the Fascino had already received a styling update in April 2026. So the latest round is mainly a technology and colour update rather than another major mechanical or body redesign.

The full RayZR price ladder is Rs 79,880 for the Drum, Rs 87,680 for the Disc, Rs 93,930 for the Street Rally LCD and Rs 1,00,440 for the Street Rally TFT. The Fascino costs Rs 78,980 in Drum form, Rs 91,070 for the Disc and Rs 99,030 for the Fascino S.

Look at the premium closely. The Street Rally TFT costs Rs 6,510 more than the Street Rally LCD. The Fascino S is Rs 7,960 above the Disc version. For someone who already uses a phone mount for navigation, that is a meaningful amount to pay mainly for a cleaner, integrated display and additional connected features.

There is no performance upgrade. Both scooters continue with Yamaha’s 125cc, fuel-injected, air-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing about 8 bhp and 10.3 Nm with the assist function working.

The “Hybrid” badge also needs some explanation. These are not hybrids in the car sense and they cannot run on electric power alone. Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator assists the petrol engine during acceleration, while also providing silent starting. The package includes Enhanced Power Assist and an automatic Stop & Start System that can switch the engine off while idling and restart it when the throttle is opened.

The practical numbers remain useful. The Fascino weighs just 98 kg and the regular RayZR 99 kg. Both offer 21 litres of under-seat storage and a 5.2-litre fuel tank. They also remain E20-compatible.

The new TFT versions make the strongest case for riders who want navigation in the instrument cluster without having a phone exposed on the handlebar. The extra display also makes Yamaha’s ageing 125cc scooter range feel more current without changing the proven mechanical package.

But the lower variants remain important. At Rs 78,980 to Rs 87,680, the Drum and Disc versions retain essentially the same engine, hybrid assist and light kerb weight while staying well below the top models.

The choice between the two scooters is still largely about character. The RayZR has the sharper, sportier design, while the Fascino takes the more rounded, retro-inspired route. Underneath, they are very closely related.
