New Delhi. Today is the last day of Indian Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth’s visit to Nepal. General Seth has met the President and Prime Minister of Nepal during his visit. On the last day of the visit, he is going to attend the ex-servicemen rally organized in Pokhara, Nepal. During this, he will honor brave women and bravery award winners.
General Dheeraj Seth will also interact with ex-servicemen of the Indian Army here. After this, he will return home on Wednesday itself. Defense Ministry says that India and Nepal have a centuries-old and historical bread-and-daughter relationship. The spiritual and cultural connection between Janakpur-Ayodhya and Lumbini-Bodhgaya provides a different depth to the relationships between the people here. This is such a relationship that it is difficult to find any other example in the world. At the same time, the partnership between India and Nepal is also based on shared democratic values.
It is noteworthy that this visit of the Army Chief to Nepal started on 17th August. The objective of his visit was to further strengthen defense cooperation between India and Nepal and to strengthen mutual relations, cooperation and coordination between the armies of the two countries. During various meetings held here, discussions were held to further strengthen defense cooperation between India and Nepal. Issues related to common interests of both the countries were discussed. Both sides also discussed possibilities for taking forward existing defense ties and new areas of cooperation.
At the same time, Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth has also encouraged the players associated with the Indian Army. The Army Chief and all ranks of the Indian Army have heartily congratulated Subedar Narendra (boxing) and Subedar Arvind Singh (rowing) on being awarded the Arjuna Award and Subedar Chhote Lal Yadav (boxing) on receiving the Dronacharya Award.
The Pune-based Army Paralympic Node has also been awarded the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Award 2025 for its significant contribution to the promotion and development of sports, especially para-sports, the Army said in a message. These prestigious honors reflect the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment towards nurturing sporting talent and inspiring excellence. The Indian Army says that from the battlefield to the playing field, the Army will continue to serve the nation with excellence, discipline and determination.
