Mumbai: Hollywood star Will Smith is reportedly in talks to join Allu Arjun in Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi film ‘Raaka’.
The actor is said to be in discussions to play a key antagonist, although the makers are yet to officially confirm his involvement.
According to a Mid-Day report, Smith has been in talks with the makers since last year.
Following months of discussions, the team is reportedly planning an international shooting schedule for his portions, though the location is yet to be finalised.
“Will Smith’s dates are being worked out. The overseas location will be locked depending on his availability. His costumes have been finalised and there is immense excitement in the crew for the next leg,” a source was quoted as saying by the portal.
Meanwhile, reports had earlier suggested that Shah Rukh Khan would make a cameo appearance in the film, although the speculation was later denied.
However, Mid-Day has now reported that Khan is indeed expected to be part of ‘Raaka’ and may soon begin shooting for his portions.
The source further shared, “Shah Rukh will also join the international schedule at some point. He is currently shooting the final song for ‘King’, and will face the camera for ‘Raaka’ after September.”
Produced by Sun Pictures, ‘Raaka’ also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in key roles.
