Brahmanandam: Sri Vadan yearns to meet superstar brother

Brahmanandam, the famous comedian of Telugu cinema, is known for his excellent comic timing and memorable acting in more than 1000 films. Actors usually keep their personal and family lives away from the limelight.

Entertainment News: Telugu cinema's veteran comedian Brahmanandam is once again in the news, but this time the reason is not because of any of his film or comic roles, but because of an emotional video of his elder brother Sri Vadan. In this video which is going viral on social media, Mr. Vadan has expressed his heartfelt feelings regarding the distance from his younger brother. He said that he does not need any financial help, but his biggest wish is that Brahmanandam should call him once and inquire about his well being.

Brahmanandam is counted among the most popular comedians of the Telugu film industry. In his career spanning decades, he has worked in a large number of films and has earned recognition among millions of audiences with his special comic timing. On the other hand, his elder brother Shri Vadan has chosen a life away from the glamor and film world.

'Just call me once and ask, how are you Anna?'

Shri Vadan is seen emotional in the viral video. He told that there were six brothers and sisters in his family, but now only he and Brahmanandam are alive. The remaining four brothers and sisters have passed away. Mr. Vadan says that he is living a simple life in his village and currently works in the temple related to worship.

He has no major complaints with his life. His desire is also not very big. He wants his younger brother to call him sometime and just ask – 'Anna, how are you?' According to him, even such a phone would be a great emotional support for him.

Due to stardom, he himself feels hesitant in going to meet people.

Mr. Vadhan also explained why he himself hesitated to go to Brahmanandam's house to meet him. He says that his brother is a big name in the film industry today and there is always a crowd of people around him. He feels that it will not be comfortable for him to suddenly reach the house of such a big star. For this reason he wants the initiative to come from Brahmanandam's side. According to Shri Vadan, when an elder or younger member of the family himself comes forward and calls for a meeting, then one feels a sense of belonging and confidence in the relationship.

He also acknowledged that Brahmanandam could be extremely busy with his work. They may be short on time between shoots, events and other responsibilities. But Mr. Vadan wishes to spare a few minutes for his elder brother even amidst his busy schedule.

'I don't want money, I just want to meet'

The most emotional part of Mr. Vadan's words was that he did not ask for any financial help from his brother. He told that his life is going on with the limited income earned from temple work and he is satisfied with it. Their complaint is more about emotional distance than any kind of financial lack. He wants meetings and talks to continue between the two remaining brothers of the family.

Shri Vadan expressed his wish that Brahmanandam should call him one day and say – 'Anna, come to Hyderabad, I want to meet you.' This invitation will be the greatest happiness for them.

Shri Vadan once dreamed of becoming an artist

Recalling his old days, Shri Vadan also told that he himself was fond of art and acting. About three to four decades ago, he used to sing songs and participate in plays. However, with time the direction of his life changed and he moved away from the film world. At the same time, his younger brother Brahmanandam achieved a huge position in South Indian cinema on the basis of his acting and comedy. Brahmanandam's popularity was not limited to Telugu audiences only, but his characters and dialogues influenced film fans across the country.
