Himanta Sarma met PM Modi and discussed Assam floods!

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday. He has given information about the meeting through his post on the social media platform 'X'.

The post on behalf of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma read, “I had the privilege of meeting Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi and receiving his blessings and guidance.

During the Assam flood relief work, the Prime Minister remained in constant touch, closely reviewing the situation and providing all possible assistance. I shared with him my roadmap for the next phase, which includes reconstruction of affected areas, restoration of livelihoods and ensuring comprehensive recovery.

Himanta Biswa Sarma further wrote, “PM Modi reiterated the unwavering support of the Government of India in taking this Mission to its true conclusion. I also briefed Prime Minister Modi about the key initiatives that the State Government has taken in its first 100 days to fulfill the mandate given to us by the people of Assam.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his constant guidance and unwavering commitment towards realizing our shared vision of 'Developed Assam'.

Earlier, in a social media post on the 100 days of the NDA 3.0 government in Assam, Himanta wrote, “Steps towards empowering the women power of Assam are continuously moving forward. During the NDA 3.0 government, we have strengthened initiatives that make women self-reliant and have ensured that our daughters are healthy, confident and free to fulfill their dreams.

In another post, he wrote, “Building a developed Assam. On the occasion of completion of 100 days of NDA 3.0 in Assam, we reiterate our resolve to serve the people with full sincerity and set new records in the field of development and welfare.”
