Lantern collapsed early in the morning, workers buried under debris

The construction work of Omaxe Mall has been going on in full swing for the last three years in Rukmani Vihar. Like everyday, even on Friday morning at around seven o'clock, the workers were engaged in their work with full dedication. Suddenly, during the concrete casting near the third and fourth floors, the shuttering lost its balance and fell down with a loud noise.

In the blink of an eye, four laborers working there were buried under the debris. Hearing the screams, other employees working nearby and local residents immediately started relief work. As soon as the information was received, police administration and fire brigade vehicles also reached the spot.

Administration engaged in investigation

SP City Rajiv Kumar Singh reached the spot and took stock of the situation and clarified that only four people were buried under the debris, who have been pulled out. Usually more than 50 laborers work at the site, but only five people were present there in the morning. The fortunate thing was that a laborer had gone away from some work just before the accident, due to which his life was narrowly saved. At present, the police and fire departments are busy checking the safety standards of the construction work.
