Ahmedabad, August 21, 2026: – Gujarat Indian Railways has given a big and important news for the passengers traveling by railway between Bihar and Bihar. Indian Railway A new weekly 'Amrit Bharat Express' train is going to be started between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur. With the start of this new train service, direct rail connectivity between the two states will become stronger and more convenient.
Booking starts, trains will run from 26th August
According to the railway administration, advance ticket booking of this train has been started from today i.e. from 21st August on PRS counter and IRCTC website/app.
Ahmedabad to Bhagalpur (Train No. 19423): This train from 26 August 2026 Will teach every Wednesday from Ahmedabad at 6:30 pm and Will reach Bhagalpur at 6:40 am on Friday. This journey will take approximately 36 hours and 10 minutes.
Bhagalpur to Ahmedabad (Train No. 19424): While returning, this train will run from 28th August. Will leave from Bhagalpur every Friday at 4:45 pm and Will reach Ahmedabad at 5:25 am on Sunday. This journey will take approximately 36 hours and 40 minutes.
Only general and sleeper coaches: fare is also very cheap
Keeping in mind the general and middle class passengers, only General Unreserved and Sleeper Class coaches have been kept in this Amrit Bharat Express. The sleeper class fare between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur has been fixed at ₹925, so that long distance travel can be done at a cheaper rate. The maximum speed of this train is likely to be 110 to 130 kilometers per hour.
Stoppages will be available at main stations
This train will connect important industrial and business cities of both the states during its route. This train after leaving Gujarat Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindon City, Bayana, Idgah Agra, Tundla, Govindpuri, Subedarganj and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction. Will stay there.
After entering Bihar, it will take stoppages at major stations like Buxari, Ara, Danapur, Patna, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama, Kiul, Abhaypur, Jamalpur and Sultanganj.
