Dismissed constable arrested for demanding extortion and threatening

Mohanlalganj, Lucknow. Mohanlalganj police arrested the dismissed constable on charges of demanding extortion and threatening to kill and sent him to judicial custody. The accused is accused of demanding about Rs 50 thousand spent in the previously registered case and threatening to face serious consequences if the money was not paid.

According to the police, Gopalkheda resident Manish Singh had lodged a complaint that dismissed constable Roshan Raza had abused him on August 15 and threatened to kill him. In this case, a case was registered under BNS sections in Mohanlalganj police station.

It is alleged that on Thursday, Roshan Raza stopped Manish Singh on the way and demanded to give him about Rs 50 thousand spent in the case registered earlier. On refusing to give the money, the accused threatened to kill him and implicate him in a false case. On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case under BNS sections in this case also.

Mohanlalganj police team on Friday arrested the accused Roshan Raza son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Shekhwania, police station Kubersthan, district Kushinagar, hall address Pandey Complex, town Mohanlalganj. The police sent the accused to judicial custody.

According to the police, Roshan Raza was previously working as a constable, but is currently dismissed. A case is already registered against him in Mohanlalganj police station.
