Proposal passed to celebrate 'Diwali Day' for the first time in California, special event to be held on November 8

Desk : A major festival related to Indian culture has received official recognition in the US state of California. The California State Assembly has passed a resolution to recognize 8 November 2026 as 'Diwali Day'.

Let us tell you that through this proposal the people of the state have been encouraged to participate in the celebrations of Diwali. The motion was moved by assembly members Darshan Patel and Ash Kalra.
