Mahakumbh of Karate will be held in Lucknow from today, 600 wrestlers will clash; Eye on 560 medals

Lucknow, Read: The third WMSKF All India Karate Championship is going to start from Saturday at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Hall located at KD Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow. In this national level competition which will last for two days, about 600 players from different states of the country will showcase their talent and strength.

According to Organizing Secretary Santosh Kumar, apart from host Uttar Pradesh, teams from states like Punjab, Gujarat, Goa, Jharkhand and West Bengal are participating in this competition. The largest contingent in the competition is from Uttar Pradesh, which includes 350 players. In this two-day championship, competitions will be organized in sub-junior, cadet, junior and senior categories. Players will present their challenge in 110 weight categories of Kumite event and 30 categories of Kata event. During the entire competition, there will be a tough competition between the players for a total of 140 gold, 140 silver and 280 bronze medals.
