10 policemen including SHO and ASI suspended in connection with the incident of showing black flag to Chief Minister Sainina Kafla

Gurugram, 22 August 2026: A total of 10 policemen have been suspended in connection with the incident of showing black scarf to the Chief Minister's convoy. Of these, nine policemen were posted at Civil Lines Police Station, while one ASI Amit Kumar is from SIS branch. The suspended employees include Civil Lines Station House Officer (SHO) Vijendra Kumar, two ASIs as well as a constable and a head constable.

At the time of the Chief Minister's arrival in Gurugram on Friday morning, Congress workers under the leadership of District President Pankaj Dawar and Vardhan Yadav suddenly came out on the road and raised slogans of “Pachha Jao” in front of his caravan in black Vavata flags.

8 Congress workers arrested

Acting in this matter, Gurugram police arrested eight Congress workers on Friday night. The names of Pankaj Dawar and Vardhan Yadav are also included in the FIR, but there is no information about their current whereabouts.

The phones of both the leaders are currently switched off. According to sources, the police have detained both of them; However, the police is avoiding giving any information in this matter.

After the arrest of Congress workers, some party members gathered outside the Civil Lines Police Station on Saturday afternoon to get information regarding the case. Civil Lines police have taken the arrested Congress members to present them before DCP (West).
