SL vs IND Colombo Test: Sri Lankan bowler clashed with Jaiswal, heated argument between the two on the field, VIDEO viral

Yashasvi Jaiswal Asitha Fernando viral video: The atmosphere of the match suddenly heated up in the very first session of the second Test being played between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo. There was a heated argument between India’s opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Asitha Fernando. The situation between the two players escalated so much that the Sri Lankan captain had to intervene and separate them.

Actually, Yashasvi Jaiswal seemed to be in good form in the beginning. He scored 45 runs on 53 balls and hit 9 fours in his innings. Just before the 17th over, Jaiswal also hit three consecutive fours in one of Fernando’s overs. After this, the Sri Lankan bowler made a brilliant comeback and took the wicket of Jaiswal.

Controversy increased after the wicket

In 16.6 overs, Asitha Fernando bowled round the wicket, which came inwards after hitting the pitch. Jaiswal tried to play the ball on the off side, but it hit a thick inside edge and the ball hit the stumps directly. After Jaiswal’s dismissal, Fernando celebrated in a very aggressive manner and looked at the batsman and said something.

Jaiswal first moved ahead from there, but after a few steps he turned back and started talking to Fernando. Both the players came face to face and there was a heated exchange between them for some time. The situation appeared to be such that the matter could reach a scuffle. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan captain Dhananjay de Silva intervened and separated the two.

Fernando took a big wicket

Jaiswal’s wicket was very important for Sri Lanka. Just before this, Fernando’s over was costly and Jaiswal hit three fours in it, but in the next balls, Fernando made a comeback and sent the Indian opener to the pavilion. Due to Jaiswal’s dismissal, India lost both its openers in the first session. This gave Sri Lanka a chance to return to the competition.

India got off to a good start

After winning the toss, Indian captain Shubman Gill decided to bat first. India scored 66/2 in the morning session. Initially the team made two small partnerships of 37 and 29 runs, but both could not be converted into big partnerships. Before Jaiswal, KL Rahul had also returned to the pavilion. In such a situation, India will now expect a big innings from the middle order.

India leads 1-0 in the series

India defeated Sri Lanka by 165 runs in the first test played in Galle. India is ahead 1-0 in the two-Test series. That means, if India avoids defeat in the Colombo Test, the series will be in its name. On the other hand, Sri Lanka will try to level the series by winning this match.

Changes in both teams

Sri Lanka has made two changes for the second test. Kamil Mishara has got a chance to make his test debut. He was included in the team in place of Nishan Madushka. Whereas Pasindi Suriyabandarar, who came as a concussion substitute in place of injured Dinesh Chandimal in the first test, has been retained in the team.

Test debut of Saransh Jain

India also made a change. Spin all-rounder Saransh Jain has been given his test debut in place of Kuldeep Yadav. Saransh has 2,223 runs and 188 wickets in his name in first class cricket.
