Milan and Leipzig on the verge of finalising Nkunku deal
Amorim has made it clear that Nkunku, along with Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana and Santiago Gimenez, will not be part of his plans for the 2026-27 campaign, which for Milan, gets underway away against Torino on Sunday evening.
Nkunku is surplus to requirements in San Siro and reports over the last few days have claimed that his former club Leipzig are keen to offer him a return to the Bundesliga.
According to the latest updates in both Germany and Italy on Sunday claim that an agreement between the two clubs has now been reached over an initial season-long loan deal at a cost of €4m and an option to buy for an additional €28m for an overall cost of €32m.
Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Milan and Leipzig are now ‘very close’ to settling the final details and formally closing a deal.

Milan had paid a fee of €37m, not including bonuses, to sign Nkunku from Chelsea last summer.
He went on to score seven goals and provide three assists from 32 appearances in Serie A last season and also scored once from two appearances in the Coppa Italia.
