Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the country's space startups. He interacted with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Founders of 20 leading space startups of India. During this, PM Modi encouraged them and said that there is no dearth of talent in India and the country has made many big achievements in the field of space. Giving a clear message to the young entrepreneurs, he said, “You take risks, the government is with you at every step.” During the conversation, he stressed on creating such an environment in the country which attracts talents from all over the world towards India. Emphasizing on the clarity of policies, he said that only a good policy gives confidence to risk takers.

Trust is built by sticking to a decision

Praising the courage of young entrepreneurs of the space sector, PM Modi said that you have shown the courage to move forward in a completely new and challenging field. The most important thing is that you have expressed confidence in the government and its policies. Referring to his working style, the Prime Minister said that he has always believed that once a decision is taken, it should be stuck to firmly. Frequent changes in policies or decisions create an environment of uncertainty. When policies remain stable, risk takers can operate without worry. Even if something goes wrong due to some mistake, it is a different matter, but the government will not abandon anyone. We want to maintain this trust in the country.

India will become a 'magnet' of space talent

The Prime Minister said that we have to create such an ecosystem and environment that whenever anyone in the world thinks about the space sector, his first attention falls on India. Talents from around the world are eager to join an Indian startup or our space agency. We can attract global talent towards us like a magnet, which will become a great strength of India in the future. Enumerating the strengths of India, he said that we are very economical in terms of costs, no one has any doubt on the quality of our talent and Indians have a very high natural risk taking ability. On the basis of these strengths, India can very soon achieve a special position in this sector. He also suggested working with Atal Tinkering Labs to inculcate interest and curiosity about space in children from an early age.
