Mirzapur: The Movie has become one of the most awaited upcoming films, with fans eager to see the popular crime franchise move from the small screen to theatres. The film will bring back the world and characters of Mirzapur in a new big-screen story.
During a promotional visit to Patna, Ali Fazal, who plays the popular character Guddu Pandit, revealed an interesting detail about the film’s connection with the original series.
The actor asked fans to revisit the first season of Mirzapur before watching the film. However, he suggested that viewers only need to watch the series up to Episode 6.
“Everyone must go home and watch Series 1 but only till episode 6. As from episode 6 the story of movie starts and revolves,” Ali said.
His statement has added to the excitement around the film, as fans now have a clear starting point to understand the story of the theatrical release. It also suggests that events from the first season will have an important role in the film’s storyline.
Mirzapur: The Movie is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment. The film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna.
Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are producing the film under Excel Entertainment, with Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani serving as co-producers.
