In such a situation, Chief Minister Farmer Scholarship Scheme can become an excellent financial support for meritorious students. Under this scheme, eligible students are now being given a scholarship of Rs 5,000 every month. Let us tell you that earlier this amount used to be Rs 3,000 per month.
However, to avail the benefits of this scheme, merely being from a farmer family is not enough. Along with being a native of Uttar Pradesh, the student will also have to fulfill the prescribed educational qualification. In this scheme, eligibility has been decided on the basis of 12th and graduation marks only.
Children of which families will get the benefit of this scheme?
Chief Minister Farmer Scholarship Scheme is specially designed for the meritorious children of farmer and registered agricultural laborer families. It is mandatory for the student availing the benefit of the scheme to be a native of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, it is also necessary for the parents to be farmers or registered agricultural labourers. That is, before applying, the student should check his family and residential eligibility carefully.
Educational Qualification and Board Wise Cut-off Rules
In this scheme, a lot of importance has been given to the academic performance of the students. The minimum marks requirement has also been kept different according to different boards:
- Uttar Pradesh State Board: 12th pass students must have at least 70 percent marks.
- CBSE or ICSE Board: It is mandatory for students passing 12th to have minimum 85 percent marks.
- Post Graduation (PG) Students: If the student is studying PG, he should have at least 70 percent marks in his graduation.
Earlier you used to get Rs 3,000, now you will get increased amount
The amount of scholarship given under this scheme has been increased. While earlier eligible students were given Rs 3,000 per month, now this assistance amount has been increased to Rs 5,000 per month. With this financial assistance, students will get a lot of relief in meeting the necessary expenses related to their studies. However, to get the scholarship, it will be very important to fulfill all the other prescribed conditions.
Keep these important documents ready for application
If you want to apply for this scheme, prepare all your documents in advance. These documents will be required at the time of application:
- Student's Aadhar Card
- Basic address proof
- income certificate
- previous class mark sheet
- Complete bank account information (copy of passbook)
Apart from this, proof of being a farmer can be asked from students from farmer families, for which Khatauni or Kisan Bahi can be used. At the same time, children from agricultural labor families may have to submit the relevant labor card.
Application will not be online, know the offline process
The thing to note is that the process of applying for this scheme is completely different from the normal online scholarship form. Its application will not be online.
To apply, students will have to obtain the offline form from the administrative office of their school or college or the concerned department. After carefully filling all the information asked in the form, copies of all the necessary documents will have to be attached with it. After this, the prepared application form will have to be verified by the Principal or Nodal Officer of your school or college.
Where and how to submit the verified form?
After getting verification from the Principal or Nodal Officer, the student will have to submit this form by going to their respective Regional Mandi Parishad office or scholarship counter. After submitting the form, do not forget to take the Acknowledgment Receipt from there.
It is very important for students to keep all the documents correctly ready before applying and double-check the information given in the form. The application may also be canceled if any information or document is found missing.
