Shadow Hunters star Matthew Daddario is heading to Chicago Fire Season 15 in a new role as a firefighter candidate, bringing a new character into the NBC drama, as per Deadline.
Chicago Fire newcomer Da’Vinchi teased fans with seemingly a first glimpse of the 38-year-old actor’s casting, sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from the set on August 20 as their characters join the ranks at Firehouse 51.
The set photo saw Da’Vinchi alongside Alexandra Daddario’s brother and Brandon Larracuente, who plays Vasquez, with the three actors sitting together on Truck 81.
The series centers on the firefighters, rescue squad members and paramedics of Firehouse 51, balancing their demanding jobs with the personal challenges they face.
This news comes after Chicago Fire lost a couple cast members including Dermot Mulroney (Chief Dom Pascal) and longtime star Joe Miñoso (Joe Cruz).
The two bid farewell to the fan favourite series as the show is set to come out with its 15th season, as per Variety.
Joe Miñoso, who was a series regular since the start of the show will reprise his role as Joe Cruz in a limited number of Season 15 episodes as the long running character’s journey comes to an end.
Dermot Mulroney will also bid farewell to Chicago Fire in season 15
After joining the procedural drama in Season 13 as Chief Dom Pascal, the 62-year-old actor will now conclude his storyline and character’s journey early in the upcoming Season 15 which is set to release on October 7.
