According to reports, the Persian Gulf Strait Authority told X that fines could be imposed on ships violating Iran's set rules. If necessary, action can also be taken to detain or seize the ship. The new warning has increased the concern of shipowners and charter companies passing through the Strait of Hormuz. PGSA, the new body created by Iran to manage the Persian Gulf, has said that owners of cargo ships must check an updated list of ships that do not follow the rules before sailing.
According to PGSA, if a ship transfers goods at sea with a ship violating the rules or is involved in activities like transferring goods from ship to ship, then its name can also be included in the list of banned ships.
According to reports, ship owners who want their names removed from this list will have to apply to Iran's Maritime officials. Along with this they will have to explain why their ship does not violate the rules.
