Jaiswal-Fernando Fight: There was a tense situation in the middle of the field on the first day of the Colombo Test when Sri Lankan fast bowler Asitha Fernando made provocative remarks after dismissing Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. After which Jaiswal turned back and moved quickly towards the bowler and there was a slight scuffle between the two. During this time the rest of the Sri Lankan players had to come to the rescue. Reacting to this incident, cricket expert Harsha Bhogle said that Jaiswal should not have done this, he should have gone away quietly. But, the Indian opener did not like this at all.

Actually, Cricbuzz shared a video on Instagram with Harsha Bhogle's opinion on the fight between Jaiswal and Fernando. The Indian opener could not stop himself from reacting to this. He commented that if he did not know what the Sri Lankan bowler had said to him then he should not have formed any opinion. Jaiswal wrote, “If you don't know what he said to me after getting me out, please don't form any opinion. If anyone crosses the line, we have to tell them that this India will fight and respond. We will not remain silent. So, do not comment without knowing the whole story.” After this comment, discussion has started on social media. Some fans say that Jaiswal should have accepted his mistake, but he is talking like this.
What did Bhogle say?
In a video shared by Cricbuzz, Harsha Bhogle on the fight between Jaiswal and Fernando says – “He (Jaiswal) is getting out. During this time someone is saying something to him, I have never been a fan of send off. Many of you know, once you get the batsman out, that is enough. Yashasvi has a history with Niroshan Dickwella in Galle, so someone said something to him. The best thing to do in a situation like this is to just turn around and come back. They came a little too close for me.”

Bhogle further said, “All I would say to Jaiswal is, yes, perhaps what was said should not have been said to the bowler, but you have to accept it as you give it. The easiest way is that Jaiswal should have walked away. He has so much talent, but deep down he is a bit of a fighter and the last thing I would want for someone of his extraordinary ability is for that person to overpower his extraordinary batsman and give him a bit of trouble, So he was provoked, but this is Test match cricket, he also provokes, I felt he came a little too close.
