Business Desk – Gold-Silver Price Today: Big fluctuations are being seen in the prices of gold and silver on Monday, 24 August 2026, the first trading day of the week. On MCX, gold rose by Rs 760 to Rs 1,63,200 per 10 grams, while silver fell by Rs 1,126 to Rs 2,45,234 per kg.
In the international market, gold on COMEX is at $ 4,697.80 an ounce and silver is at around $ 69 an ounce. According to IBJA, gold remains bullish today.
Gold expensive, silver cheap on MCX
On the last trading day i.e. Friday, gold on MCX had closed at Rs 1,62,440 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 2,46,360 per kg. On Monday morning, gold rose by Rs 760, while silver fell by Rs 1,126. According to bullions.co.in, 10 grams of 24 carat gold is priced at Rs 1,62,810 and 1 kg silver is priced at Rs 2,46,370.
24 carat gold price on IBJA
According to IBJA, today the price of 24 carat gold of 999 purity is Rs 16,062 per gram. Whereas 22 carat gold is Rs 15,677, 20 carat gold is Rs 14,295 and 18 carat gold is Rs 13,010 per gram.
Gold reached three month high
In the international market, gold has reached its highest level in almost three months. The reason behind its rise is said to be the increase in buyback of government bonds by the US government. Its effect is visible in the form of fall in dollar and bond yields, which is providing support to gold prices. Due to the same reason, a big rise in gold was seen in the year 2025 also.
