CJP Co-Convenor Saurabh Das: Delhi High Court has summoned those who gave the address of the house of cockroach Janata Party i.e. CJP co-convenor Saurabh Das. On the complaint of Saurabh Das, Delhi High Court summoned the parties including right-wing columnist Abhijit Iyer Mitra, media platform Pamphlet, Law Beat. Also instructions were given to remove the video. Now the next hearing of the case will be on September 14.

In fact, CJP co-coordinator Saurabh Das had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court saying that some people have made his residential address public. This has increased their security concerns.

Hearing the case on the petition, Justice Sachin Dutta also issued notice to the respondents on the interim stay petition and asked to list the matter for hearing after two weeks. During the hearing, the court was told that those tweets in which Saurabh Das's address had been made public had been removed. The bench asked – Who has appeared on behalf of X? Have these links been removed? Is this link no longer active? The lawyer appearing on behalf of X told the court that they have been removed.

Demand for compensation of Rs 2 crore

Saurabh Das has demanded a compensation of Rs 2 crore, alleging violation of privacy. He has also demanded from the court that Mitra and others should be prevented from making their residential addresses etc. public in future and their videos in which the information has been made public should be removed.

What else did Saurabh Das say in his petition

Das had said in his petition that he has been living in a rented house in Greater Kailash-I since the beginning of 2025. The CJP leader said that some people illegally entered his premises where other people also live. Scenes from inside his house were recorded and shared on social media on August 5. He said the video in which his address was made public had received 2.1 million views and was re-uploaded on August 10. Das also said that Mitra also made his home address public in a programme. Also wrongly claimed that its monthly rent is Rs 7 lakh.
