Big blow to Team India, star player injured in second Test; Dhruv Jurel revealed the secret

Team India has the upper hand in the second Test being played in Colombo. Hosts Sri Lanka are behind. India declared their first innings at 503 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka lost two wickets for just eight runs by the end of the second day’s play. However, Team India has received a big blow in this match. Star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is injured. He suffered a shoulder injury on Monday. This was told by ‘Sanchuri’ Dhruv Jurel.

After the second day’s play ended, Dhruv Jurel revealed that wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant suffered a shoulder problem on the second day of the ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka. It may be noted that Rishabh Pant also got injured while playing a pull shot on the first day of the Test on Sunday. He then suffered a wrist injury and had to retire. However, he returned to bat on Monday and played a brilliant innings of 63 runs.

When the Sri Lankan team came out to bat, the match was stopped after two balls due to rain. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant suffered a pain in his right shoulder while keeping wicket. As play resumed, Sarfraz Khan was replaced with bowling and Dhruv Jurel took over the wicketkeeping till the end of the day. By the end of the second day’s play, Sri Lanka had faced three overs, scoring just eight runs and losing two wickets.

Dhruv Jurel, who scored 115 off 177 balls after the second day’s play, told a press conference, “He (Rishabh Pant) has injured his right shoulder. The physio is monitoring his injury. I kept wicket today because his right shoulder was sore. Hopefully, it will be fine by tomorrow (Tuesday).”
