A roast meat restaurant in Malaysia’s Selangor, run by Hong Kong actor Mat Yeung, has been temporarily closed by the Petaling Jaya City Council, just 10 days after officially opening.
A closure notice was posted outside the Six Hub Roast House on Aug. 24, ordering it to cease operations from 1 p.m.
The notice cited alleged breaches related to the restaurant’s license and use of the premises, The Star newspaper reported.
The restaurant confirmed the temporary closure in a social media statement and apologized to customers for any inconvenience.
It said authorities had found that its kitchen was occupying part of a public space.

“Following the authorities’ instructions, we will close for two days to make the necessary adjustments before resuming normal operations on Aug. 26,” the statement said.
Yeung addressed the closure in an interview with Sing Tao Headlinesaying local authorities had found that some items from the restaurant had been placed in the back alley.
The actor opened the Hong Kong-style roast meat restaurant on Aug. 14, serving honey-glazed char siu, crispy-skinned roast pork (siew yuk), Hong Kong-style pepper-roasted duck, and poached chicken.
Since the restaurant opened, Yeung has remained closely involved in its operations, serving customers and overseeing day-to-day activities whenever his schedule allows.
