Jehanabad Collectorate located Gram Plex Bhavan Janta Darbar was organized by the district administration. A total of 18 complaints and applications received from the common people were seriously heard in the Janata Darbar organized under the chairmanship of District Officer Mrs. Chhiring Y Bhutia and under the leadership of Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Aditya Kumar Piyush.
People who reached the Janata Darbar from different areas of the district presented their problems before the officials. The complaints received mainly included matters related to land dispute, encroachment, illegal occupation, land measurement, registration-rejection, demand cancellation and water supply.
18 complaints were heard seriously
During the Janata Darbar, the District Magistrate listened to the problems of the common people one by one and took information about the matters from the concerned officials. The concerned departments and officials were directed to take necessary action on the applications submitted by the complainants.
The objective of the district administration is to ensure resolution of public problems at the local level in an effective, transparent and time bound manner.
Instructions to officers for prompt and quality execution

He told the officers that the complaints received from the public should not be treated as mere formalities, but each case should be investigated seriously and appropriate action should be taken as per the rules.
Special emphasis on land disputes and encroachment cases

In land related matters, instructions were given to ensure action as per rules on the basis of revenue records, site inspection and information from concerned parties.
Instructions to organize regular review meetings
For effective and timely resolution of land disputes, the district administration has directed to further strengthen the review system.
According to this-
- every week at zonal level Matters related to land disputes will be reviewed.
- Twice a month at sub-divisional level A review meeting will be held.
- Once a month at district level Land disputes will be reviewed.
The objective of this system is to regularly monitor pending cases and reduce unnecessary delays in resolution of disputes.

He said that the problem of every complainant should be heard with sensitivity and priority and necessary action should be taken as per rules in the concerned matter.

Through Janata Darbar, common citizens are getting the opportunity to present their problems directly to the district administration. With instructions being given to the concerned departments to take direct action on complaints related to land, revenue, encroachment and basic facilities, people are hopeful of quick resolution at the administrative level.
