UGC should be implemented, safety of general category children is necessary: Sanjay Nishad!

Sanjay Nishad, minister in Uttar Pradesh government, has reacted on many matters including UP cabinet meeting, CEC Gyanesh Kumar, Akhilesh Yadav's claims on UP elections. Talking to IANS about the cabinet meeting, Sanjay Nishad said, “I thank CM Yogi. Whatever proposals come to make Uttar Pradesh the best state, they are approved with minor changes.
If a proposal needs further thought, it is put on hold for reconsideration. The department also has a proposal regarding the World Fish Centre, I think it will also be approved.”

On Allahabad High Court's decision regarding hijab, Sanjay Nishad said, “Half of the country's population is women. If the country is run by the Constitution, then women have the right to freedom, equality, respect, prosperity, self-reliance and security. These are fundamental rights under the Constitution, hence women also have the right to decide what they wear, where they sit and what they write.”

On CEC Gyanesh Kumar's statement, Minister Sanjay Nishad said, “I think the Election Commission should consider it. There should be only one voter list. When the person is the same and votes in the same village or city, then the list should also be the same.”

Be it Gram Sabha elections, Assembly elections, Lok Sabha elections or any other election. Election is election and vote is vote. Therefore, the voter list should be the same and I feel there is a need to bring uniformity in this matter.”

Regarding UGC, Sanjay Nishad said, “UGC should be implemented, but the safety of upper caste children should also be taken care of. Their children are also children and they are innocent. Therefore, there should be arrangements for the safety of upper caste children also. Some provisions should be made for them too.”
