New Delhi . A surprising case of increasing influence of online video and gaming content among children has come to light in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Here two innocent children watched a video related to the Secret House game on YouTube and were so impressed by it that they themselves set out to complete the challenge of staying hidden for 24 hours. When both the children suddenly disappeared from home, there was panic in the family. The family members first searched nearby and at relatives' places at their own level, but when no trace of them was found, the police was informed. The police and Mission Shakti team started a rapid search and within about two hours, both the children were found safely and handed over to their families.
This matter is from Hastinapur area of Meerut. It was told that two children aged 11 and 7 years living in B Block Colony suddenly left the house on Sunday afternoon. Initially the family members thought that both the children might be playing nearby but when they did not return for a long time, their concern started increasing. The family members inquired at nearby houses and also gathered information from relatives but the children were nowhere to be found. Eventually the matter was informed to the police.
This matter was serious for the police because both the children were very young and the family was extremely upset due to their sudden disappearance. As soon as the information was received, the police started searching for the children. Mission Shakti team was also deployed in the investigation. After continuous search, the team found both the children safe. According to the police, the children were not victims of any untoward incident but they themselves had planned to leave the house and hide.
What came to light during the interrogation surprised everyone. The children reported that they had seen gaming content related to the Secret House game and hiding for 24 hours on YouTube. After watching the video, the idea of doing a similar challenge came to his mind. Both of them decided that they would go away from home and make a secret hideout of their own and would hide there for 24 hours. Under this plan, both of them left the house.
According to the police, the children had made a deserted place near a farmhouse their hideout. Their intention was to hide there for 24 hours so that they could complete the challenge seen in the video. The children probably had no idea that their sudden disappearance would upset the family so much that even the police would have to become active to find them.
After about two hours of hard work, the police and Mission Shakti team found both the children. The family heaved a sigh of relief after the children were found safe. After this he was handed over to the family. Police officers also talked to the children and explained to them that it is not safe to repeat every activity shown on the internet or in videos in real life.
This incident once again highlights the need to monitor the viewing of mobile and online content by children. There are many gaming videos and challenges available on the internet that children can try to replicate as entertainment or play. At a young age, children do not fully understand the difference between the danger seen in videos and the risk in real life. In such a situation, it is important for parents to keep an eye on the online content of children and make them understand that trying any viral game or challenge without thinking can be dangerous.
