Extraction Accelerators are a new Gizmo in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. They are designed to make Sprite extraction much faster and safer. Instead of waiting for the normal Extraction Crate process at an Extraction Site, the Accelerator lets you silently start a nearby site and bring the crate in almost instantly.
This is especially useful when another player may be watching the area. Normal extraction can reveal your position, while the Accelerator helps you finish the job before an enemy has time to react.
How to Get Extraction Accelerators
There are a few ways to get these useful Gizmos during the Override season. The easiest method is completing Override Daily Quests.
Open the Quests tab and look under the This Season – Override section. Completing three Override Daily Quests rewards an Extraction Accelerator. The daily objectives can include tasks such as:
- Extracting five Sprites
- Finding and entering three Cheat Codes
- Purchasing five items or services at Sprite Dust Service Stations
Daily quests reset regularly, so this is a reliable way to build up your supply over time.
There is also a quicker option for players who want free Accelerators immediately. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 has an Admin Panel in the Battle Royale lobby where players can enter special Lobby Hack codes. Entering the code TakeYourHeart rewards two Extraction Accelerators. Open the Admin Panel in the upper-right area of the lobby, enter the code, submit it, and claim the reward.
How to Use an Extraction Accelerator
Using an Extraction Accelerator is simple, but you need to be at an Extraction Site. First, find an Extraction Site on the map and travel there with the Sprite you want to extract.
Once you reach the site, interact with the extraction terminal. Instead of choosing the normal extraction option, use the button assigned to your Gizmo. On PlayStation, this is typically Triangle, while Xbox and Nintendo Switch use Y with the standard controls.
The Accelerator then activates the nearby Extraction Site and summons the Extraction Crate almost immediately. Most importantly, the process is silent, so nearby opponents do not receive the usual audio warning that an extraction is happening.
When the crate arrives, interact with it and deposit your Sprite as usual. You can then leave the area without spending as much time exposed.
Why Use an Extraction Accelerator?
The main advantage is speed and stealth. A regular extraction can leave you vulnerable while you wait for the crate. That creates an easy opportunity for another player to attack.
The Accelerator is useful when:
- The storm is closing in and you need to leave quickly.
- You are carrying a rare or valuable Sprite.
- An enemy squad is nearby.
- You want to avoid revealing your position.
- You are extracting during a busy part of the match.
It is worth saving them for situations where normal extraction feels risky. They are more valuable when used strategically than when activated simply because you have one available.
Important Things to Remember
Extraction Accelerators are Gizmos rather than normal inventory items. They are tied to your account and cannot simply be dropped for another player. This means getting eliminated does not let an opponent take the Accelerator from your loadout.
Also, the Accelerator does not extract a Sprite from anywhere on the island. You still need to be at an Extraction Site. Its purpose is to make that site much quicker and quieter to activate.
Because the crate arrives quickly, you spend less time exposed. This matters during late-game rotations, when several teams may be nearby and every second counts. Check your surroundings before activating it and keep an escape route.
