‘She Was Standing Like A Rock’: Huma Qureshi Reveals 6-Month Pregnant Kiara Advani Shot ‘Toxic’ In Heavy Rain

Chennai: Geetu Mohandas’ ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has faced criticism since the release of its first teaser.

The buzz around the film intensified recently following the release of ‘Tabaahi’, featuring Kiara Advani and Yash, which received mixed reactions from viewers.

Amid the criticism, Kiara’s co-star Huma Qureshi has praised the actress for her dedication to the project, recalling how she continued shooting during her pregnancy despite challenging conditions on set.

At the film’s pre-release event in Chennai, Huma opened up about shooting a rain sequence with Kiara.

“I have to say something about Kiara. It is not a spoiler. There was a scene in ‘Toxic’ we were both part of, and there was so much rain involved. She was just about to have a baby and we were getting drenched in the rain and I had a terrible headache. Every single time I wanted to complain, I would look at Kiara,” Huma said.

“She was six months pregnant, and she was just standing there doing that scene. Standing like a rock. Looking at her I was like, ‘Oh my god,’ that is so inspiring. I know you are going to get a lot of love for this film. Love you loads,” she added.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic’ is backed by KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

The film features Yash in a double role and also stars Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth.

Advance bookings for ‘Toxic’ opened on Friday, five days ahead of its theatrical release.

The film has reportedly earned ₹18 crore through advance bookings for its opening day, with three days still remaining before it hits theatres on August 26.
