Patna. The agitation of candidates in Bihar turned violent on Tuesday regarding their demands related to various competitive examinations including BPSC TRE-4. The students sitting on strike in Gardanibagh took out a march to surround the Chief Minister's residence. During this, the protesters broke the police barricade at JP Golambar and moved towards Dak Bungalow. In view of the situation, a large number of police and CRPF personnel have been deployed at the spot.
Police barricade broken on JP Golambar-
Police had barricaded JP Golambar to stop the candidates moving towards the Chief Minister's residence. Despite the presence of heavy police force and CRPF, the protesters broke the barricades and started moving forward. After this, the administration further tightened the security arrangements in the surrounding areas including Dak Bungalow.
Protest continues in Gardnibagh from 18th August-
The candidates are sitting on strike in Gardnibagh since 18th August. Their major demands include removal of negative marking between PT and Mains examination of BPSC TRE-4 and implementation of 100 percent domicile. Students say that the examination process is being carried forward without taking any decision on their demands.
Anger increased due to release of TRE-4 notification-
Meanwhile, BPSC issued the notification of TRE-4, after which the resentment of the agitating candidates increased further. The students allege that the recruitment process is being taken forward without taking any concrete decision on their major demands. In protest against this, he had announced siege of the Chief Minister's residence.
BPSC, BSSC and CSBC examinations are also in issue-
Problems related to BPSC, BSSC and CSBC were also raised prominently in Tuesday's protest. According to student leader Dilip Kumar, the aim of the movement is to convey the problems of the candidates to the government. After the demonstration, preparations are being made to submit the memorandum related to the demands to the government.
The issue of suspension of the Controller of Examinations also came up.
Amidst the agitation, the matter of suspension of the examination controller of BPSC was also in discussion. On Monday, the government had suspended the controller of examinations in connection with his alleged controversial statement. There is also said to be resentment among the students regarding this matter. At the same time, opposition parties have also targeted the government regarding the candidates' agitation.
13 point demands including cancellation of 70th BPSC exam-
The students protesting under the banner of All Bihar Student Union have put forward 13-point demands related to competitive examinations and recruitment processes. The main demands are:
The 70th BPSC exam should be canceled and conducted again.
TRE-4 teacher recruitment process should be completed soon.
There should be a high level inquiry into various canceled examinations including AEDO.
Action should be taken against those responsible for irregularities in the examination.
'One candidate, one result' system should be implemented.
The pending examinations of BSSC including Intermediate, CGL, ASO and BSO should be conducted soon.
Problems related to CSBC constable recruitment should be resolved.
Inspector recruitment examination for 1799 posts should be cancelled.
After the examination, question paper, answer key and OMR sheet should be provided to the candidates.

Candidates say that they are facing continuous problems due to long standing problems in competitive examinations and recruitment processes. They want to unite and convey their demands to the government. At the same time, after the breaking of barricades, security arrangements have been made more stringent in Patna.
