According to sources, Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar has given instructions to the Intelligence Wing i.e. Special Branch in this regard. Now, before any major or proposed demonstration, it has been asked to collect information on at least 10 important points and analyze it in depth.
Detailed report will be prepared before the demonstration
Under the new system, the Special Branch will have to assess in advance the potential risks and circumstances associated with any demonstration. Based on the information collected, it will help the police to understand the situation and possible challenges of the protest. The aim of the police is to prepare better in advance and strengthen the security arrangements to deal with any untoward situation during the demonstration. There is a plan to keep an eye on aspects related to crowd management and law and order, especially during big demonstrations.
