Pakistan PIMS Fire: 15 newborns died in a fire in the gynecology ward of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad on Wednesday. According to the report of local news channel 'Geo News', PIMS officials said that there were 16 newborn babies in the nursery at the time of the fire, out of which only one baby could be saved from the ward.
According to rescue officials, the fire was caused by an explosion in the air-conditioner compressor inside the nursery. A fire broke out in the gynecology ward of this hospital located in the federal capital of Pakistan at around 7 in the morning.
