Political excitement has already started increasing regarding the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. There are intense discussions everywhere regarding whose government will be formed and who will be the next Chief Minister. On one hand, while the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is claiming to have scored a hat-trick by forming the government for the third consecutive time, on the other hand, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is hopeful that his party will return to power after a long gap of 10 years.
Amidst this chaos, in the latest opinion poll of 'Vote Vibe', direct opinion was taken from the people of UP regarding their choice for the next Chief Minister and the 2027 elections. In the shocking figures of this survey, Yogi Adityanath is seen leading in the race for the post of Chief Minister, while Akhilesh Yadav comes right behind him.
Who is ahead in the race for CM post?
During the survey, when people were asked the question that “Who in your opinion should be the next Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh?” So in response to this, most of the people named the current CM Yogi Adityanath as their first choice.
- Yogi Adityanath (BJP): 43.4% people once again gave their opinion in favor of making him the next Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
- Akhilesh Yadav (SP): 35.5% people chose the SP chief as their choice.
- Mayawati (BSP): 5.9% people supported BSP supremo as the next CM.
- Priyanka Gandhi (Congress): Only 3% people agreed to his name.
- Other: 6% people preferred to see other faces of politics as the Chief Minister.
- Can't say: 6.3% people could not give any clear opinion on this question.
If we look at these survey data in depth, then the main contest for the post of Chief Minister seems to be limited between Yogi Adityanath and Akhilesh Yadav. However, the difference of support between the two big leaders is 7.9 percentage points, which appears to be in favor of Yogi Adityanath.
Have the voters decided to vote?
Another important question was asked to the public in the survey that “Have you decided who you will vote for in the upcoming elections?” In response, most people believed that their mind was made up.
According to the survey, 64.4% people clearly said that they have completely decided which party they want to vote for. Whereas 19% people said that they have not yet taken their final decision. Apart from this, 8.7% people said that they have not decided anything yet, while 8% people could not give any answer on this question.
Who has more vote share in 2027 elections?
When the people involved in the survey were asked that “Which party or alliance will you cast your vote for in the 2027 elections?” So in response to this, the BJP alliance seemed to be taking the lead.
- BJP alliance: 41.8% vote share
- SP alliance: 38.7% vote share
- BSP: 5.2% vote share
- Other/Independent: 4% vote share
- Undecided/can't say: 10.3% people
In this estimated figure of vote share, there is a slight difference of only 3.1 percentage points between the BJP alliance and the SP alliance. There are 10.3% voters who are still undecided or have not expressed their opinion.
It is clearly evident from this survey of 'Vote Vibe' that at present Yogi Adityanath is leading in the race for the post of Chief Minister and the BJP alliance is leading in terms of estimated vote share also. However, there is still time left for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, so new changes can be seen in the public mood and political equations of the state in the coming days.
