State Women's Commission member Geeta Vishwakarma inspected the district jail in the district on Tuesday. During the inspection, he took stock of the various facilities, food, health and hygiene related arrangements being provided to the women prisoners. He interacted with the women prisoners and obtained information regarding their problems and needs and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials.

After this, the member of the State Women's Commission also inspected the children's home. He inquired about the facilities, food, living, health, education and security related arrangements being provided to the girls living in the children's home. He also interacted with the girls and obtained information about their problems and needs.

During the inspection, he directed the concerned officers to provide all necessary facilities to the women prisoners and girls living in children's homes as per the standards set by the government. Special attention should be paid to cleanliness, quality food, health services and security arrangements and if any problem is found, its solution should be ensured immediately.

The member of the State Women's Commission said that ensuring the safety, respect and welfare of women and girls is the priority of the government. He directed the concerned officers to work with sensitivity by regularly monitoring the arrangements.
