Premier League — Brighton signs Algeria full-back Hadjam

Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion has confirmed the signing of Algerian full-back Jaouen Hadjam from Swiss champion Young Boys.

The transfer fee is undisclosed, but Hadjam’s contract with the Seagulls will run until 2031.

The Algeria full-back, who has played 21 times for his nation and featured at the FIFA World Cup 2026, was born in Paris and represented France at youth levels before switching to Algeria.

He was a part of the Paris Saint-Germain youth system, and made his name in Ligue 1 playing for Nantes before moving to Switzerland.

Brighton started its Premier League 2026-27 campaign with a resounding 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
