New Delhi: IndiGo flight 6E231 going from Lucknow to Bengaluru has created panic after receiving a bomb threat. It is being told that some time before the plane landed at Bengaluru airport, the crew got information about the presence of a bomb in the plane, after which the pilot and crew immediately took necessary steps as per the security protocol.
What time did the safe landing happen?
According to the information, after receiving the news of the bomb, the flight made a safe landing at Bengaluru Airport at around 9:40 in the morning. After the plane landed on the runway, the crew informed the concerned authorities about the threat, immediately after which the security agencies present at the airport became active and the search process was started by taking the plane to a different place for investigation.
Security agencies are closely inspecting the aircraft as per the prescribed SOP. During this time, apart from the seats, cabin and other parts inside the aircraft, passengers' luggage and other important places are also being searched. The priority of the officials is to ensure the safety of the passengers and crew present in the aircraft. Also, security arrangements have been kept strict until the investigation is completed.
Initial investigation suspects threat to be fake
According to sources, in the initial investigation it is suspected that the bomb threat was fake. However, security agencies do not want to take any risk regarding this. For this reason, the plane is being thoroughly investigated and the source of the threat is also being ascertained.
