Uttarakhand News: The holy festival of Rakshabandhan was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity at the Chief Sevak Sadan located in the Chief Minister Camp Office of Uttarakhand. On this special occasion, a large number of sisters from every corner of the state tied the Raksha Sutra to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The sisters tied Raksha Sutra on the wrist of the Chief Minister and wished him wholeheartedly for his healthy life, long life and successful leadership. The Chief Minister also welcomed all the sisters with great cordiality, expressed his gratitude towards them and heartily congratulated all the people of the state on Rakshabandhan.
Transmission of motherly love and energy
Addressing the sisters present at the programme, the Chief Minister said that Rakshabandhan is not just a ritual of tying a thread, but it is the most sacred festival of unbreakable trust, boundless affection and pledge of protection between brother and sister. He said that the love and blessings he receives from the mother power of the state fills him with new energy every day for the development of the state and service to the people. The Chief Minister clearly said that our mother power is the strong foundation of every family and their contribution is most important in taking forward the family as well as the society and the entire country.
Public welfare policies of the central government
During his address, the Chief Minister discussed the historic steps taken by the Central Government. He said that under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women's safety, respect and economic strength have always been given first priority. The decision to give thirty-three percent reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies is a historic step towards respecting women power. Apart from this, schemes like Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao have brought a big positive change in the lives of crores of daughters and women of the country and the state.
Concrete steps for women empowerment in the state
The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is also working with full dedication for the welfare of mother power and making them self-reliant. A big decision of giving thirty percent horizontal reservation to women in government jobs of the state has been implemented so that the daughters of the state can get equal opportunities to move ahead. The main focus of the government is on giving new opportunities to women and strengthening their economic condition.
Big achievement of Uttarakhand in Lakhpati Didi Scheme
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister's Lakhpati Didi scheme has been implemented very fast in Uttarakhand. Today, it is a matter of great happiness that more than three lakh nine thousand sisters in the state have become Lakhpati Didi and have stood firmly on their feet. Women associated with self-help groups are increasing their earnings through local hill products, farming, handicrafts and various small and big self-employment and are making a huge contribution to the economy of Uttarakhand.
New path of self-employment and livelihood
Giving details of other schemes of the state government, the Chief Minister said that new means of earning are being provided to women through Mukhyamantri Sashakt Brahmin Utsav Yojana, Women Self Help Group Empowerment Yojana and Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana. Constant efforts are being made to ensure that the products prepared by women's groups get bigger and better markets so that their income can continuously increase.
Women's participation in the resolution of strong Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister said that from the construction movement of Uttarakhand state to shaping its modern form today, mother power has always played a big role by being at the forefront. Today the women of the state are proving their excellent capabilities in every field like education, health, government administration, modern farming, self-employment and industry. He expressed confidence that only with the active support and blessings of mother power, the big resolution of strong Uttarakhand and developed India will be fulfilled. On this dignified occasion, Mrs. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, MLA Savita Kapoor, Asha Nautiyal, BJP Mahila Morcha President Ruchi Bhatt and many sisters from across the state were present.
