After 10 p.m., Tran Phu Street near the Tram Huong Tower in Nha Trang Ward was packed with people and vehicles celebrating Vietnam’s victory over Thailand.
The crowd stretched roughly 400 meters, with many supporters carrying red flags with gold stars, cheering and blowing horns. Traffic backed up in places as vehicles converged on the area. Police were posted at intersections to direct traffic and keep order.
