Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has made a big announcement by launching Lakshmi Yojana for women. The Chief Minister said that under the scheme, eligible women will be given Rs 1000 in wallet every month for expenses. Apart from this, FD of Rs 1500 will also be made.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described the scheme as an important step towards economically empowering women. He said that the aim of the government is to provide economic security to women as well as to secure their future.
The amount given to women under Lakshmi Yojana has been divided into two parts. In this, Rs 1000 will be available every month for direct expenditure, while an amount of Rs 1500 will be deposited in the form of FD. In this way, the plan has focused on immediate economic needs as well as future financial security.
The Chief Minister said that women face many challenges ranging from daily expenses to future financial needs. In such a situation, this initiative of the government will help them in meeting their small and big expenses. At the same time, emphasis will be laid on developing the habit of saving and preparing the financial base for the future through FD.
Rekha Gupta said that without economically strengthening women, overall development of the society is not possible. The government is trying to make women self-reliant through such schemes and make them financially capable to take their own decisions.
With the announcement of Lakshmi Yojana, Delhi Government has introduced a model of combining financial assistance and savings for women. A portion of the scheme will help meet the immediate needs of women, while the FD portion will be reserved for future needs.
However, official guidelines will be important regarding information related to eligibility under the scheme, application process, tenure of FD and detailed conditions for receiving the amount. Only on the basis of these rules it will be clear how many women will get the benefit of the scheme and under what process the amount will be made available.
After this announcement by the Chief Minister, Lakshmi Yojana for women has come into discussion in Delhi. It has been presented by the government as an initiative to strengthen the economic status of women and provide them financial security.
