Sri Lanka’s young batsman Sonal Dinusha has also scored a century in the second innings of the Colombo Test against India. After scoring 103 runs in the first innings of the match, Sonal scored a century in the second innings also. The Sri Lankan team was in a difficult situation but Sonal came at number 5 and is playing brilliant innings. This is the third century of Sonal’s career, playing her 5th Test.
Sonal’s three centuries in four innings
This is Sonal Dinusha’s third century in the two-match Test series against India. Earlier, he had also scored a century in the Galle Test. He was out after scoring 100 runs. In the second innings of the match, 84 runs were scored from his bat. He scored a century after 103 runs in Colombo. Sonal faced 196 balls to reach her century. During this he hit 6 fours.
Sonal Dinusha has become the 8th Sri Lankan player to score centuries in both innings of a test match. Duleep Mendis had scored a century in both the innings for the first time for Sri Lanka against India in 1982. Aravinda de Silva and Kumar Sangakkara have scored centuries each in both innings of the Test. Whereas Asanka Gurusinha, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dhananjay de Silva and Kamindu Mendis have done this once each.
