Mumbai Famous music composer and singer Amaal Mallik has surprised his fans and announced to take a break from the music industry. On August 27, 2026, by sharing a long post on social media, Amaal said that at present he needs to rest his mind, body and soul. He also made it clear that he will stay away from new music projects for about a year.

'I'm absolutely fine, just need time for myself'

In his post, Amaal Malik assured fans that he is fine. He said that this time he wants to do what is better for his health and heart.

Singer told that he felt the need of a break to become completely healthy mentally and physically. He says that he has to take care of himself, recover and then return to the world of music with more energy than before.




    • No new film music till next year

    Amaal clarified that he will not be a part of any new work during the break. He told that no new film music of his will be released till next year.

    However, some of his old and unreleased songs may be released during this period. Amaal said that these also include songs from some low-budget films which were made with good intentions, but could not easily get screens. Therefore, the future of these films and their songs is not certain at the moment.

    Told the fans- don't bother me

    Amaal Malik also appealed to his fans and well-wishers to give him personal space during this period. He said that whenever there is any further update, he himself will give information about it.

    He wrote emotionally in his post that the journey from music to cinema has taken him a long way and now he is preparing to return to music for some time. With this he said, 'Now send me off… I will return soon.'

    Talking about the work front, Amaal Malik was last seen in Salman Khan's show 'Bigg Boss 19'. He made a lot of headlines during the show. During this time, his bonding and chemistry with Bhojpuri actress Neelam Giri was also in the news.

    Now after the announcement of Amaal's break, his fans may have to wait for about a year for his new music.
