Decline in earnings of 'Toxic' on second day

Kannada superstar Yash's much-awaited film 'Toxic' released in theaters on 26th August. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, this action-thriller left behind the records of many big films by making a spectacular net collection of Rs 101.10 crore on the first day. However, there was a huge decline in the film's earnings on the second day. According to Sacknilk, 'Toxic' earned Rs 37.65 crore on the second day of release. With this, the total net collection of the film in India has reached Rs 138.75 crore. It earned Rs 24.25 crore from Hindi, while Rs 13.40 crore was earned from other languages. The worldwide gross collection of the film so far is said to be Rs 190.10 crore.

Emraan Hashmi's 'Awarapan 2' is also maintaining its hold at the box office. The pace of this film, which was released on August 14, has definitely slowed down, but it is earning continuously. According to the report, the film made a business of Rs 60 lakh on the 14th day of its release, while on the 13th day its earning was Rs 90 lakh. The total net collection of the film in India has reached Rs 144.25 crore, while worldwide it has crossed the figure of Rs 203.70 crore.

Yash's 'Toxic' has many actors including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara and Tara Sutaria in important roles. On the other hand, Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi are seen with Emraan Hashmi in 'Awarapan 2'. 'Toxic' may have earned less than half on the second day as compared to the first day, but the net business of more than Rs 138 crore in two days is considered to be a strong start for the film.
